今日は7日付JTの記事からで

"Hospitals to charge more to ease load"

大病院に紹介状なしにかかる場合5000円以上の金額を患者が追加負担する方向で厚生省が検討しているとのこと。


気になったの表現は

out-of-pocket payment 

辞書で調べたところ、「自己負担の」という意味になるようです

expenseを伴ってout-of-pocket expenseという表現もよくあるようです。


文章では以下。

The costs will come on top of their out-pf-pocket payments that amount to 10 to 30 percent of the total expenses for the medical services that the patients recieve.


つまり、1割から3割の自己負担にこの5000円以上と言われている金額が上乗せされるということですね。


（訳）患者が受ける医療サービスの合計額の10%から30%の金額にのぼる自己負担支払いに加えてこの金額をしはらうことになる。

来年には10〜20もの市町村がこのコミュニティを設立する候補として発表される予定だそうです。


今日気になった表現は

この計画は、高齢者に対して彼らが自分の家だと思っている場所からもう必要ない存在だと言われているに等しいと見る人もいる。

一部の専門家からは反対の声がでているという記事です。


この中で

という文がありました。


put the cart before the horseは、順序が逆 本末転倒という意味でした。

shouldを使った仮定法
